The client archetypes described below are an amalgam of more than 65 clients and more than 500 hours of coaching individuals. Does your own experience align with one or more of these journeys?
Accomplished Adventurer
Uncertain of the way forward, this paradoxical adventurer is both confident and cautious.
The Accomplished Adventurer has many lives, but feels like none of them really add up to anything. Living life through a lens of force drains our energy, leaving many clients feeling:
Exhausted
Chaotic home life
Strict upbringing leading to rigid expectations for self
Feeling a constant desire to rebel against the relentless demands of life
Finding relief in disordered eating, over-exercising, sugar, carbs, alcohol
High standards for parenting, work responsibilities, and personal goals
Perfectionism and constantly feeling like I am falling short
Disjointed journey feels like a failure
Everyone else's cheerleader but not my own
Not a valued team member at home
Two degrees and three careers, but unable to articulate a unifying purpose
Individual coaching or Law of Being (16 sessions - solo or guided journey)
The Accomplished Adventurer is a total machine, capable of getting so much done. However, this focus on the WHAT vs the WHO, the DOING vs the BEING can lead to exhaustion, burnout and resentment.
Increased satisfaction can be found by paying attention to our purpose and values, what animates our days and gives us joy. This is possible even if the demands of our life don't appreciably change - how we move through our days matters. Outcomes reported by clients include:
Clarity about my purpose and compassion for my own story
Connecting my values to everyday efforts
Joy in the daily details of life
Self regulation instead of over-indulgence to escape rigidity
Everyone in home learns to regulate
Increased connection to my true self and others
Living with unity and oneness every day
Renewed purpose and clarity
Self-discipline to stick to self-care and my own goals
"I feel like myself again."
"I wake up and put my feet on the floor knowing who I am."
